Base directory.
All plug-in settings are stored as binary files in one folder. By default it
is AntispamSniper subdirectory of main The Bat! storage folder. The alternative
path is set when it is impossible to get the path to main The Bat! storage:
<disk>:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\AntispamSniper
You can set any other folder on local disk as a base directory, including
the relative paths (relative to The Bat! executable). The plug-in settings
will be the same for all users of the program in that case.
The manually changed value for base directory is stored in AntispamSniper.dir
file in the plug-in installation directory.
If you delete that file, then the default value will be taken on next start.
Warning! Don't set the network path for the base
directory! Several users should not use the same files simultaneously. Don't
try to make one classification database for several users because of the errors
on simultaneous teaching!
Classification database.
The classification database is stored in several files:
- statdata.bin
- sahdata.bin
- histdata.bin
- histdata.bin.x
You can clear the classification database and teach the plug-in again if you
encounter serious problems with the filtering. The content of files above is
deleted on pressing "Clear database" button. You must be sure that
the problem is in classifier indeed before deletion. First check the rules,
whitelist and exceptions, look at the filtering log and try to locate the reason
of quality problems.
